Description
The urethra bowl pessary is crafted from high-quality silicone and should be stored at temperatures between 0°C and 50°C, shielded from UV radiation. To ensure its longevity, it must be kept away from reactive substances, gases, ozone, and mineral oil.
Application/Intended purpose
The pessary is primarily designed for patients with stress incontinence who still have an intact pelvic floor. Its thickened structure supports the bladder-urethra junction, helping to prevent urine leakage by keeping the upper urethra closed during activities like coughing or movement. Additionally, it can reduce urine seepage into the urethra, potentially alleviating symptoms of urge incontinence or a combination of stress and urge incontinence.
Note
The maximal uninterrupted period of application is 30 days(Class IIa). It is recommended that the patient changes the pessary herself, i.e. she should remove it every evening and insert it in the morning. The patient should be trained about application or change by a healthcare professional.
The product must not be used by other patients. The pessary is cleaned by running water without using disinfectant.
